The SEEDS Academy categories we created based on the triple bottom line-The Brundtland report in 1987 was the first to identify the triple bottom line of sustainability. Sustainable development is founded on the triple bottom line because it can only be achieved when environmental protection, social equality, and economic profitability coexist without any of the three having dominance. The categories- People, Planet, Profit- were also inspired by the UN SDGs and the goals that the nations are striving towards.
We also developed sub-categories under each category: |
People (Social Advancement) | Planet (Environmental Management) | Profit (Economic Development) |
Education | Climate Change | Green Finance |
Equality and Inclusion | Materials and Waste | Green Buildings |
Youth Empowerment | Energy | Circular Economy |
Sustainable Lifestyle | Water | Technology and Innovation |
Health and Wellness | Agriculture | Corporate Sustainability |
Nature Conservation | Urban Development |
